KALUSH Orchestra is a band from Kalush, a city in western Ukraine, that blends hip-hop with Ukrainian folk: rap verses, the sopilka (a traditional Ukrainian flute) and authentic folk melodies. The band was founded and is led by Oleh Psiuk. In 2019 he formed the rap group KALUSH, named after his hometown in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, and in 2021 he created KALUSH Orchestra: folk-rap with a bigger line-up of musicians.
In May 2022 “Stefania”, a song Oleh dedicated to his mother, won the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin. It scored 631 points, 439 of them from viewers, a televote record at the time, and became the first winning song performed entirely in Ukrainian. The contest trophy, a crystal microphone, was sold at a charity auction for 900,000 US dollars, and the money went to the Ukrainian army. That summer KALUSH Orchestra played Glastonbury. In early 2023 Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared in the band’s video for “Shchedryi Vechir”.
The band is touring Ukraine until the end of 2026, and from late January to late February 2027 it plays concerts across Europe. Every concert on the tour offers Meet & Greet: meet the band in person, get an autograph, and take photos and videos together.
